13 active technology companies offering a complete and diverse
spectrum of IT related services. The Group operates five core business
segments namely, Distribution, Software, Systems, Solutions and Networks.
Collectively the Group has been in the IT business from as early as 1983.
Over two
decades, the Group has provided technology services and solutions to a
large clientele in almost all sectors. Their customers are from across
very diverse sectors, ranging from financial services, oil & gas,
telecommunications to government and education. Some of the customers
include Bursa Malaysia, Bank Negara Malaysia, Petronas Group, Ericsson
Group, Digi Telecommunications, Great Eastern Life Assurance and Ministry
of Defense.
Some of their business partners include renowned companies like Cisco,
Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Nortel Networks, Unisys, Avid, IBM and Sun
Microsystems.
Formis has over 570 staff, half of whom are technical. Within
this strong technical staff force, 130 are technically certified by
international technology providers such as Avid, Cisco, Citrix, EMC,
Nortel, Microsoft, IBM, HP, Sun and Unisys.
