Malaysian Hainanese Lim Clan Association

Dear President Hee Suan,

On behalf of Singapore Hainan Lim Clan Association,  I wish to thank you once again for leading 12 members of your association to attend the Three Nations' Biennial Reunion Convention Dinner held on last Sunday 22 Aug.

Your speech was good. The performances of singing from your wife, Keng Tong's wife and Gilian Lim were great. Keng Tong's jokes cracked on stage aroused a lot of laughter.

Do you know that you led a blessed delegation to
Singapore as the Heavens protected you all the way with good weather?  Please read the email below that I sent to our association committee members.  It seems that good man is always protected by Heavens with good weather or good fortune. Please keep it up.

Thai delegates left
Singapore yesterday afternoon and the delegates from Hainan left early this morning.

Best regards

Dear Organising Chairman,

Last evening, the reunion dinner was well attended, 70 full tables. The program was really good, enjoyed with high spirits by the audience. I heard of good comments from some attendees saying "well done".  We should feel proud of our association.

Strange Phenomenon
I would like to share it with you. As you know, I was assigned to taking care of the Malaysian delegation. Before their arrival on last Friday 20 Aug, there was a newspaper weather report that in the next 7 days there would be thunderstorm and heavy rain. I prayed to Heavens not to rain for the next few days so that we could nicely organize the welcome activities for the visiting delegates. There was rain at
noon on last Friday, but by the time they arrived at 5:00pm, the rain had stopped. Since then, there was no rain on last Saturday; no rain yesterday which was Sunday. This morning, it was bright sunshine when our association chairman, Sow Heng, organizing chairman Eric and myself drove the thirteen Malaysian delegates from the Park View Hotel at 9:15am to Copthorne Orchid Hotel, from where they took a NICE bus at 10:30am and left Singapore for KL. It is very strange that after they left, many parts of Singapore were covered with dark clouds.  It was thunderstorm and it rained heavily. It was raining heavily just now at Joon Koon Circle, Jurong, where my office is.

Please observe carefully around. Things do happen strangely.  For those who are blessed, things do happen in their favour.

Best wishes for Good Blessings
Clarence Lim
